Affinity Gaming says credit card processing system hacked

Affinity Gaming, the las vegas based gaming company, has reported a security breach in their system that processes customer's credit cards and debit cards for its casinos.

Affinity was notified on oct. 24 by law enforcement regarding fraudulent charges that may have been linked to security breach in Affinity's sytem.

The company said it immediately initiated a forensic investigation and determined its system infected by a malware, which resulted in a compromise of card data.

The company also said it confirmed a hacking attack on their system at its Primm Center Gas Station that began on unknown date and ended on November 29.

The security breach affects the customers who visited Affinity's gaming facilities between March 14th and Oct. 16. Affinity encouraged its customers to review their financial statements for any unusual activity.
