3 Palos Verdes High students busted for hacking computers, changing Grade

Three  Palos Verdes High school students have been arrested on suspicion of hacking school computer, changed grades, stole test question paper and make money by selling answers to their classmates.

They broke into classrooms late at night on the Palos Verdes Estates campus to steal hard copies of tests from teachers' desks"The report from Daily Breeze says.

They insert the hardware Keylogger to the computers of four teachers, then they login to the the central files of the school network using the captured passwords. Then, they start to increase their grade bit by bit to get A grade.

Also, they allegedly solved the stolen questions papers and sell the answers.
This scheme was discovered when a student reported about the offer to administrators .

Two students implicated in this activity have already been recommended for expulsion. One of these students was a transfer from Peninsula High School. other students have been suspended for receiving stolen tests and information
 
"They were very bright kids," said Principal Nick Stephany. "They were in AP and honors classes. Am I shocked? Yeah. Definitely by the extent of it. None of these kids had any real trouble before."
