Spam mail claims your Skype password changed, leads to malware infection

A mail purportedly from Skype claims your password has been successfully changed and leads to malware infection, warns Webroot.

The email reas:
"Your new Skype password has been set.

You can now view your attached call history and instruction how to change your account settings.

If the changes described above are accurate, no further action is needed. If anything doesn't look right , follow the link to make changes. Resotre password[LINK]"

If the recipient open the attachment, his system will get infected with a malware. The malware has been detected as "Andromeda".

The malware opens a backdoor allowing the cybercriminals behind the campaign complete access to the affected user’s host.

According to researchers, the same malware has been used in the recent UPS spam mail. Clearly, both campaign has been launched by the same cybercriminals.
