Malvertising on DailyMotion serves Fake Antivirus

If you have paid a visit to the DailyMotion recently, then you should scan your system for viruses. Security firm Invincea has reported that the DailyMotion is serving Fake Antivirus.

If you have paid a visit to the DailyMotion recently, then you should scan your system for viruses.  Security firm Invincea has reported that the DailyMotion is serving malware.

According to the report, the payload is served via a Third-party ad network, redirects users to a fake Antivirus page.

It is worth to note the website has 17 million monthly visitors and has 95th alexa rank.  It is unknown how many of them are infected with this malware.

This is the second Malvertising attack reported this year.  Few days ago, Yahoo ads redirects users to Magnitude exploit kit.

Currently, 10 out of 47 detect the payload as malicious in Virustotal.
